The Ariel-Ann Carson Dater Performing Arts Centre is located at
426 Second Ave. (Second Ave. is also State
Rt. 7) , on the West side of the road. Our lovely marquee is
brightly lit on performance nights so you’ll be sure to find us.
From the North
Take Rt. 7 south until you enter the
City of
Gallipolis. (When you’re nearing town, Rt. 7 will pass
under Rt. 35, with the
Silver Bridge Memorial visible on the left.) Follow Rt.
7 into the city where it jogs to the right and then left onto
the 900 block of Second Ave.
From the South (Ashland KY/Huntington, WV)
Take Rt. 7 north into the city,
turning left as Rt. 7 becomes Second Ave. The Ariel Theatre
will be on your left and is located one block past the beautiful
Gallipolis City Park on the right.
From the West & Northwest (Dayton, Columbus)
Take Rt. 32 east, or Rt. 23 south
(from Columbus) to Jackson. Take Rt. 35 to Gallipolis. After
entering Gallia County take the 3rd exit, Gallipolis Rt. 160.
At the foot of the exit, turn Right and then at the light, turn
left from the middle turn-lane, and then turn right at the next
light. This road will take you through 3 mile of commercial and
residential area before entering the city. Upon entering
Gallipolis, go through the lights at 4th and 3rd Aves. and turn
right at the next light, Second Ave.
From the East (Charleston, WV)
From
Charleston, take I 64 to the Scott Depot exit which is
Rt. 35 and follow that for 30 miles to the
Ohio River.
Cross the river on Rt. 35 and immediately take the Gallipolis
Exit and turn Right at the light, Rt. 7 South. Follow Rt. 7
approximately 3 miles into the city were it jogs to the right
and then left onto the 900 block of Second Ave.
Parking
On-street parking is available, as
well as ample parking around the beautiful Gallipolis City Park,
a short block to the south.
Performance Equipment Unloading
Stage doors
are located in the rear of our facility, accessible by an alley
which can be entered from State St. or Third St.
